Maybe a change of name to "Abroader Force"?
They were in the Med, not sure exactly where in the Med:

One cutter, HMC Vigilant, and three CPVs are currently deployed in the Channel, with cutters HMC Valiant and HMC Protector in the Mediterranean.
HMC Seeker is in Gibraltar while HMC Searcher remains in UK waters.

HMG would be better hiring a ferry and asking the French if the could anchor off the french coast. That way the migrants wouldn’t have to risk the dangers of the busy shipping lanes, and the Border Force wouldn’t waste all that time and fuel running up and down the channel.

Well I like the idea of hiring a Ferry Jim , but it should be on the express understanding that its final destination would be Iraq........ from whence they came........ or any other collective port other than the UK ports .

As the Home Secretary said .......and for once I totally agree with him ......they can seek asylum from ANY European port if its just asylum from their terrible birth place , but its the FREE NHS which is the attraction to their family and dozens of kids they have sporned and the benefits they can claim that are due to the ones who paid for it ......... so I must disagree on this occasion , then perhaps if all the Tree huggers and do gooders can attempt to help our own with the money they want us to waste on these migrants.. who are just out for an easy hand out

As for OUR NAVY patrolling the English Channel I would put more there not less , then they might finally deter these leaches from praying on gullible hopeful immigrants , use it as a practical training asset :)

No deterrent. All they need to do is get a board a boat, put to sea, and we pick them up and complete their journey!

Well Jim , we will have to agree to disagree on this point I'm afraid .

By all means help them onto a boat................ but in the opposite direction.....not the UK , and if their stupid enough to do it again ask the French for asylum , that way everyone is happy and not at risk or causing a risk to others ....simple really

I was only saying how easy it was for them. If they get to a boat they are virtually Home if not Dry!

Well I suspect its their absence of passport and visa's that precludes them gaining passage here , hence the attempted crossing by RIB's Jim ,or am I missing something here :(

Looks like the authorities cannot stop them before they set off, as owning a boat is not a criminal offence according to this story in the Daily Express.

What about vessel registration / insurance of craft and all the other legislation we have here , let alone proposed use of craft , better still catch them red handed and then confiscate the craft , that should deter them as theres no profit in that ;)
