Re: Wardroom
Sadly some sad news about a former crew member who crossed the bar last night having been suffering slowly with respiratory issues which led to his heart failing .........it was an event that the old crew will be sad to hear of being the only religious member amongst us .
I refer to our dearest "Bish" and his infamous scooter "Oscar" which appeared to achieve unheard of and spectacular events ...i.e. water skiing whilst being towed by our lamented "Sandy " Anthony Hathaway may you rest in peace in your new berth dear friend

Just a heads up to let members know that David (Pelican) is on sick leave at present and I am sure that you will join me in wishing him a complete and speedy recovery. He is one of the bigest contributors to the Forum and it is hoped that he will be back online again very soon.

Re: Wardroom
Regret to advise that my good lady wife fights for her life in the 'End of life ward' at local hospital. Dreading every minute of every hour when I am not by her bedside having done 28hrs followed by a 39hrs straight bedside watch - been sent home by family to try and rest whilst they continue to take up shifts and the responsibility of watching over her tonight.
Palliative care staff have been continuously praised by us for their care !!!!!!
We enjoyed (?) quietly our 60th year wedding anniversary on 21st December last year.
Certainly not a Happy New Year now.

Re: Wardroom
Hello Harry, sorry to hear the news that your wife of 60 years is now so gravely ill. You should be commended for your bedside vigils. My thoughts are with you and your family at this time.Little h wrote: ↑Sat Jan 20, 2024 11:22 pm Regret to advise that my good lady wife fights for her life in the 'End of life ward' at local hospital.
