York Class Heavy Cruiser HMS Exeter pictured entering Grand Harbour, Malta c1938...She was sunk during the Second Battle of the Java Sea, March 1st 1942, the Japanese rescued 652 men of the crew of Exeter, including her captain, who became prisoners of war. Of these men, 152 died in Japanese captivity.
