Identity Required

Unread post by limeybiker »

I have this 1958 photograph of HMS Victorious doing a three ship RAS with Tideflow and an unidentified frigate, any help identifying her would be greatly appreciated, I have contacted the RFA Association, they gave me the Tideflow, but not the frigate.

My first shot is that she is a Whitby (not Rothesay) Class Type 12 Frigate ... name as yet not known (by me)

Many thanks Harry, that photograph has been driving me crazy, I never thought of the Tenby, I have a photograph of her with us in The USA, alongside us in the photograph I have from Norfolk. I actually paid 6d each for the photographs from the Ship's Photo section.

That photo was taken by Stan Laundon at Hartlepool in June 2011.
