VIC WITH THE FAR EAST FLEET

HMS Victorious (R38) entering Hong Kong on October 17, 1961.
The ship came in at 0930hrs to moor to No 1 bouy as she was too large to go alongside.

Another view of HMS Victorious (R38) leaving Sydney Harbour in early November 1966.

The Fairey Firefly on the forward flight deck is bound for the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton.

If you look closely to the left you can see HMAS Sydney (R17) which had been converted into a fast troop transport and was ferrying troops of the 1st Australian Task Force to Vietnam.

Further in the distance is another carrier HMAS Melbourne (R21) alongside Garden Island.
