"ADMIRAL 'HAPPYJACK' EBERLE died in 2018 aged 90. He was the Admiral who put out a directive, that 'sailors' should have more fun. Ironic really, as he was 'Flag officer Sea Training' at the time !"

God that brings back memories , not sadly of Ganges , but the many courses and practical Exams I understood to become qualified and the amusing events whilst partaking of them .

I have never understood, agreed with or found the true origin in the Andrew. I can only quote Jackspeak:
