One of the last, if not the last all-gun Clevelands in the fleet post-war. The late-war Clevelands were touchy with stability with all the war time add-ons and the navy preferred the Baltimores because of that and the fact they were big enough to adapt to fleet flag roles. Six Clevelands did appear post war as missile ships, but they did not have stability issues.

Given the amount of money spent on radically rebuilding these units into CLGs...........sure hope NO remaining stability issues! OTOH, the size of those old radars......oh my!! :o DFO
