The USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group (GRFCSG) including USS Normandy, Ramage, McFaul and Thomas Hudner currently in the Atlantic operating with European partners. Ford is due to anchor in the Solent Monday-Thursday next week.

USS Thomas Hudner - the first ship of the USS Gerald R Ford Carrier Strike Group arrives in Portsmouth this morning. Ford is due to anchor in the Solent around lunchtime.

On 14th November the US Navy’s new aircraft carrier, USS Gerald R. Ford arrived in UK waters for her first visit to Europe. The 100,000-ton ship is the largest, most expensive and arguably the most powerful warship ever built.
