RN Destroyers: V Class 1942
The V Class of the War Emergency Programme destroyers was another class of eight destroyers with Hardy being the Flotilla Leader. Others in the Class were: Venus, Verulam, Vigilant, Valentine, Vixen and Volage. Hardy was a war loss and Vixen and Valentine were transferred to the Canadian Navy in Februyary 1944 as Sioux and Algonquin. The remainder were all converted to Type 15 Anti Submarine Frigates post war - see this thread.

Again Ivor ..... the ones that survived converted to Type 15 ...... Served on Verulam 59 when she was UDE [Underwater Development Establishment] Trials Ship at Portland], her last job before razor blades.

Vigilant, Venus & Virago ended up in the F17 during 1961/3 when TTL was Captain F.
