Not sure i said this before? my most successful book published on amazon et al has so far been "Away Seaboat" in which Commander CW "Ticky" Malins is the Captain of HMS Savage in 1944. Because of her prototype 4.5" turret she used different ammunition to all the other destroyers on the gun line off the Normandy beaches, to avoid re-supply issues she was used to block the Eastern end of the landings by patrolling for e-boats etc between Eastbourne and the French coast.

Capt. Malins (promoted post-war) was a near neighbour and the book uses many of his private collection of photos.
