Yes it is; fortunately the RN, in WW1, didn't get to find out!! Although, sadly, the graceful HOOD did in the next war. DFO

Yes..... had they been in a position to come out in force and been lead by a tactician rather than a madman things could have been very different for us ............but luck was on our side on this occasion but at a cost no body could dream of , and we as a nation lost most of what we had pre war , with no hope of reinstating ..

Thanks Mate , great photo again , not seen that before .
I know I am opening a can of worms here but I have never been able to understand the mentality of ordering the German High seas fleet to a location and then being surprised at them scuttling the fleet in our anchorage .
Was it to humiliate them and to expect no reprisals
gather up all the ships for reuse elsewhere once remanned
It has always struck me as crass stupidity and reckless use of materials in the hands of our foes ....Crazy .
