Thanks Brian , the red tubed screen that we see around most docked ships nowadays ....what is it made from please and how does it function ...i.e. is it a net or some other contraption please

HMNZS Te Mana recently arrived in Victoria, British Columbia to join her sister in the modernization programme.

Anzac Class Frigate HMNZS Te Kaha pictured under refit at Esquimalt,November 13th 2019.In March 2018, she arrived in Victoria, British Columbia to undergo a major upgrade of her combat management system to a design based on the CMS 330, as well as seeing the replacement of the RIM-7 Sea Sparrow with the new Sea Ceptor surface-to-air missile.The upgrade is expected to cost NZD639 million.
