Finally in service with only 1 more being built. Apparently it was decided to cancel other planned units...?? A rather different LST type design; wonder why the class was stopped at 2 units...co$t?? Lack of fund$?? DFO

Probably right there Dennis , as it looks a good vessel to me for its purpose any way .

Ivan Gren Class Landing Ship RFS Pyotr Morgunov pictured on launch day at Yantar Shipyards,Kaliningrad on May 25th 2018.She displaces between 5,000 and 6,000 tons, and carry up to 13 main battle tanks or 36 armored personnel carriers.

Ivan Gren Class Landing Ship RFS Pyotr Morgunov pictured fitting out at Yantar Shipyards at Kaliningrad on May 13th 2019,she is on schedule for factory sea trials commencing this coming June.

I wonder just how, with that bow "bulb" they can beach themselves to unload? Or can they??? The extended bow ramp does not look over long.........
