They are considered to be "corvettes"; heavily armed for their size: both missiles and guns. 3.9" main gun.

Quite unlike the LARGER USN po$ LC$ these are apparently very capable WARships. As you can see, they are @ 1300 tons. The USN LC$ is a larger tonnage than our WW2 destroyers...only lacking the weapons fit to go with the ship size... DFO

Well they look like they could certainly give a good account of themselves and have been well thought through looking at what I can make out of the design and identifiable fittings [ sadly I have a Russian sister in law but can't speak a word of Russian other than "Vodka"

Certainly appears to be a very sleek, heavily armed (for size), capable corvette sized warship. Maybe USN could "head hunt" some roooshunn WARship designers??? DFO
