Some nice close ups of TEGGETHOFF class 12" turrets!! :D The only super imposed triple 12" of any WW1 battleship.

Of course, somewhat later the 14s of the USN PENN. were also in triples and superimposed. DFO

Ironclad SMS Erzherzog Albrecht pictured in her role as a Barracks Ship at Pula,Croatia in 1915.The only member of her class. Her design was similar to the ironclad Custoza, but Erzherzog Albrecht was built to a smaller size; like Custoza, she was an Iron-Hulled Casemate Ship armed with a battery of eight 9.4 inch breech loading Krupps,Essen Works guns. She was laid down in June 1870, was launched in April 1872, and was commissioned in June 1874. The ship's service career was limited; tight naval budgets precluded an active fleet policy in the 1870s, which did not markedly improve in the 1880s. Her first period of active service came in 1881 and 1882, when she helped suppress a revolt in Cattaro Bay. In 1908, she was converted into a Tender for the Gunnery Training School, having been renamed Feuerspeier. In 1915, she became a Barracks Ship, and after World War I ended in 1918, was ceded to Italy as a war prize. She was renamed Buttafuoco, served in the Italian Navy as a hulk through World War II before being scrapped in 1950.

Ummm... this is an Austrian ship, not a German one.

Belongs in the Austrian Navy thread in the Other Navies section - this is the German Navy section.

Austro-Hungarian Kaiman Class High Seas Torpedo Boat SMS Seehund pictured at Rijeka,Croatia in 1911.Built for the Austro-Hungarian Navy between 1904 and 1910. A total of 24 boats were built by three Shipbuilding Companies. Yarrow Shipbuilders built the lead ship, Stabilimento Tecnico Triestino of Trieste built 13 boats, and Ganz-Danubius constructed the remaining 10 boats at their shipyards at Fiume,Rijeka. The Class was considered to be a successful design, and all boats saw extensive active service during World War I, undertaking a range of tasks, including escort duties, shore bombardments, and minesweeping. All survived the war, all boats were transferred to the Allies and scrapped at the end of the war, except for four that were allocated to the navy of the newly created Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. These were discarded and broken up between 1928 and 1930.
