Here is the Portland in OZ and off Mare Island NY '44. Also after fighting IJN off Guadalcanal, a lucky survivor! :) Apparently her stern was better constructed than PRINZ EUGEN's!! DFO

Incredible shots Dennis , thanks very much for sharing .

I now see why she was called a lucky ship , that is some damage to repair , and just goes to show how skilled they were at doing it :o
