a fine picture thanks Brian, I was there as a small boy, we lived on Sliema Creek where the destroyers were more commonly moored. Scant memories of the time so thanks again. (Pelican was there as well, in Chequers, ditto Prince Philip who was N0.1 of Chequers while my father was flotilla gunnery officer and Captain "Killer" Mike Townsend was Captain "D".).

I think Comus was hit by a shell from a shore battery during the Korean War. It hit the forr'd boiler room, killed a LSM, one of the few casualties of that war.

How strange, my memory is pretty good, we had a POS/M who joined Troubridge, he had been in Comus & told the story. I was originally drafted to Consort but changed draft.
