Undertaking a similar role to the Royal Navy's Royal Fleet Auxiliary, the Naval Fleet Auxiliary Force of the United States Navy are part of the Military Sea Lift Command and its ships provide virtually everything that U.S. Navy ships need, including fuel, food, ordnance, spare parts, mail and other supplies. Following reorganisation in 2012, the Force was renamed the Combat Logistics Force.
