Great looking ships they were . Saw many of them side by side across from the North West Corner in Pompey [Fountain Lake I think it was] awaiting their sale or fate in 1955. The beginning of the end for so many of our grand ships that survived the Second World War and the start of the decimation of our Royal Navy .
