Ireland to procure two patrol vessels from New Zealand

The deal is expected to include two decommissioned Lake Class ships.

Irish naval vessel visits City of Glasgow

Irish Naval Vessel LÉ George Bernard Shaw arrived in Glasgow this week, the visit by the Offshore Patrol Vessel is the first Irish Naval visit to Scotland for over 10 years.
The Royal Navy tweeted a video of the arrival.

HUGE IRISH NAVAL VESSEL OPEN TO PUBLIC IN RATHMULLAN!

The Irish Naval Vessel LE James Joyce docked at Rathmullan Pier on Saturday morning and will be open to the public across the Bank Holiday weekend.

British and Irish forces monitor Russian warship off Ireland

A Russian Black Sea Fleet frigate was spotted off the south-west coast of Ireland, marking the latest in a series of Russian naval activities in international waters near Irish territory.
The Frigate Admiral Grigorovich was one of four Russian ships observed by the Irish Defence Forces within Ireland’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ) late last week.
