Speaking personally , I always thought these the smartest looking Destroyers with the faired in funnels .......but just my point of view

Indeed, handsome DDGs!! I saw FIFE and GLAMORGAN at the 1010 dock in Pearl Harbor, spring of '68 on my way home from my USMC "vacation" in Nam. I had walked there from Hickam, where we laid over for flight crew rest (C-141); that bird was not the fastest way home, but sure beat paddling!!

I can remember Devonshire coming to Brixham in approx. 1963, her captain must have been a TTL contemporary as we were invited onboard for a wander, the seaslug magazine reminded me of the /London underground. but they were indeed handsome ships.
