China copied world’s most modern submarine of Sweden?

China’s Type 039C submarine has just been revealed through a 14-second video on social media. That is enough to realize that the conning tower has a lot of similarities with the Swedish-made Saab A26 submarine.

A video has just been posted on the Chinese social network Tiktok, showing images of a new class of submarines – most likely Type 039C – made in China.

Satellite photos show China's new aircraft carrier coming together quickly and reveal more about its design

Go to this link but keep scrolling down as text also contains adverts etc. e.g. text below
https://www.businessinsider.com/photos- ... &r=US&IR=T

"China has been rapidly churning out new, more capable ships, such as its new carrier, but there is more to building a navy than just the quantity and quality of the ships in the fleet.

China has made considerable strides as it builds a carrier force, especially with its newest carrier, but it will likely take time to develop the carrier operations knowledge and experience necessary to use its carriers effectively. The Chinese navy has had aircraft carriers for less than a decade.

China is expected to build additional aircraft carriers, potentially pursuing a nuclear-powered carrier like the 11 flattops operated by the US Navy, though that remains to be seen."

China Wants Its Aircraft Carriers to Carry Its J-15 Fighters (Good Luck)

There is little point in massively expanding a fleet of aircraft carriers without the requisite number of pilots needed to operate them. China needs those pilots.

How Worried Should the U.S. Navy Be About China’s Type 055 Destroyers?

On July 3, 2018, Dalian shipyard launched two of the big new ships, with some reports suggesting that the class may extend to twenty-four vessels. The ships are large and have more VLS cells than Flight III Arleigh Burke destroyers, although the latter still exceed the former in sensor integration and other capabilities.

Still, with the Navy’s cruiser force aging, does the U.S. Navy need to think seriously about its own large cruiser?

Chinese and Iranian Warships are Fielding More and More Missiles

What is interesting is that China has retrofitted an older vessel with VLS, which raises the possibility that the Chinese Navy could arm its older destroyers and frigates with multiple launch tubes.

A US Coast Guard patrol unexpectedly encountered Chinese warships near Alaska’s Aleutian Islands

During a routine patrol near Alaska’s Aleutian Islands on Aug. 30, U.S. Coast Guard vessels spotted four Chinese warships conducting military and surveillance operations.

The ships from the People’s Liberation Army Navy ventured as close as 46 miles to the Aleutian Islands, the Coast Guard said on Monday.

The patrol consisted of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutters Bertholf and Kimball, both Legend-class maritime security cutters.

The Chinese ships were in the U.S. exclusive economic zone, which stretches about 200 miles from Alaska’s coast, from Aug. 29 to Sept. 1. They did not enter U.S. territorial waters, which extend 12 miles from the shore.

Chinese ships were last spotted in the region in 2015, when they passed through U.S. territorial waters near the Aleutians.

The Chinese expedition in August included a guided missile cruiser, a guided missile destroyer, a general intelligence vessel and an auxiliary vessel.

The Bertholf established radio contact with the Chinese ships during the unplanned encounter, and the ships observed international laws and norms, the Coast Guard said.
