Me neither Ivor but I was watching the weather forecast the other morning on BBC1 and it was presented from some castle at Greenwich and they were up in the tower, which had some great views of Canary Wharf and other sites from the elevated position.

Worth a visit Jim , but will have limited access to the "local" other than by Taxi, as we are traveling down by coach to Victoria then taxi to Greenwich and staying in a hotel in the locality so that we won't have to worry about the car being vandalised or nicked .

We are looking forward to it a lot , but haven't been down to that neck of the woods for a long time other than HMS BELFAST and the Malta Stone close by , then Chatham , then Portsmouth , so limited knowledge of the area but well manage with a bit of luck

Didn't occur to me to look in this thread earlier. Many thanks to all the friends who posted birthday wishes. I wish they worked in reverse! Had a good birthday with $$$$ giftcards that I spent wisely on nice stuff for ME!
