Although managing to shoot down 4 Houthi drones, Danish frigate HDMS Iver Huitfeldt was unable to fire ESSM missiles at times while in action in the Red Sea due to integration issue with Dutch APAR radar and Danish C-FLEX Combat Management System.
76mm shells also exploded prematurely when fired.
The ship is returning home sooner than expected.

Sir Humphrey
A timely reminder that buying equipment is easy, fully integrating it is time comsuming, expensive and takes a lot longer than 'just buying off the shelf' - making all the bits work together is the hard part.

April 3 Red Sea Update

Between approximately 3:49 to 10:00 a.m. (Sanaa time) on April 3, USS Gravely (DDG 107) and United States Central Command (CENTCOM) forces successfully engaged and destroyed one inbound anti-ship ballistic missile (ASBM) and two unmanned aerial systems (UAS) launched by Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists from Yemen towards USS Gravely in the Red Sea.

There were no injuries or damage reported by U.S., coalition, or commercial ships.

Additionally, during this timeframe CENTCOM forces destroyed a mobile surface-to-air missile system in Houthi controlled territory.

It was determined these systems presented a threat to U.S. and coalition forces and merchant vessels in the region.

U.S. Central Command is dedicated to protecting the freedom of navigation and make international waters safer and more secure for Coalition and merchant vessels.

Iranian spy ship & forward base, M/V BEHSHAD, has been running dark on AIS for 48+ hours. BEHSHAD also disappeared in early February prior to retaliatory U.S strikes—& soon after was the target of a U.S. cyberattack.
John explains: “The Behshad’s departure from its normal areas of operation is significant. In the past, Iran has taken the Behshad off-station to mitigate the risk of U.S. & Israeli retaliation against the vessel as a response to past Iranian strike.”
According to information from naval watchdog MT Anderson, the Iranian spy ship, the Behshad, known for providing targeting information to the Houthis, dropped off AIS tracking roughly 48 hours ago. The ship has not been located using open source methods in the local region east of Djibouti. An area designated by observers as her normal areas of operation.

USS Dwight D Eisenhower's deployment in the Red Sea has been further extended.
Likley she will have been away 9 months by time she comes home.
CENTCOM says yesterday US forces destroyed an air defense system with 2 missiles ready to launch & a ground control station in Yemen. Houthi anti-ship ballistic missiles launched at M/V Hope Island and escorting coalition warships failed to hit anything.
