The Korean War ~ North v South 1950 to 1953

Unread post by Pelican »

The Korean War was fought between North Korea and South Korea from 1950 to 1953. The war began on 25 June 1950 when North Korea invaded South Korea following clashes along the border and rebellions in South Korea.

The nation today remembers more than 81,000 British personnel who fought for South Korea's freedom 70 years ago.

Around 1,000 people attended a Poppy Legion service in London, where Defence Minister Baroness Goldie and the Chief of the Defence Staff laid wreaths.
