Re: Proposed HMS Royal Oak Memorial
My uncle, William (Billy) Tate was on Royal Oak when she was sunk. He managed to escape but was severely scalded and died from his burns in the Naval Hospital at Invergordon some 12 days after the sinking. His name is listed on the War Memorial on Southsea Common.
