British Destroyer heading to the Gulf

HMS Diamond is en route to join Operation Kipion, the UK’s maritime presence in the Gulf and the Indian Ocean, the Defence Secretary has announced.

CENTCOM: Iranian Drone Made Unsafe Pass by USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, USS Carney Downs Houthi Missile

An Iranian drone flew over the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) in an unsafe manner, Central Command said in a Wednesday statement.

The Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group was conducting routine flight operations in the Central Arabian Gulf Tuesday when it spotted a drone later identified as Iranian. At one point, the drone got within 1,500 yards of Dwight D. Eisenhower, according to a Central Command release.

The drone ignored multiple warnings, according to the release.

The U.S. Navy will continue to fly and sail where international law allows.

29DEC2023 Updated map of warships operating in Red Sea, Gulf of Oman, Gulf of Aden, Persian Gulf, Arabian Sea.

Corrections:
Removed vessels that have returned to port.

Updates:
USS Bataan and USS Carter Hall have left the red sea and are now in the Mediterranean regrouping with USS Mesa Verde.

ITS Virginio Fasan (F-591) likely in the Red Sea at this time departed Souda Bay on 20DEC2023

Denmark has announced that they will be sending a frigate under Operation Prosperity Guardian. This will likely be a Iver Huitfeldt-class frigate.

INS Kolkata (D-63) spotted in the Red Sea on Sentinel 2 approximately 16Nm North by North East of MV Behshad.

USS Lewis B. Puller (ESB-3) operating IVO Ike CSG.

INS Vikramaditya (R-33) sailing North 22~ NM off Indian coast IVO Guhagar likely sailing to Mumbai.

Around 10 other ICGS and INS vessels operating in 🇮🇳 EEZ.

Again 🇮🇳 is not part of Operation Prosperity Guardian they are deployed under Combined Maritime Forces and under National directives.

Does not include all ships under Combined Maritime Force such as CTF 150, CTF 151, CTF 152, CTF 153, Updated all sources used.
