Great shots as always Dennis , but where taken , it looks like a civil marina , other than the main production area which looks like an environment to avoid working in ..... ;)

Kilo Class diesel electric Submarine RFS Alrosa at Sevastopol in 2007.
She joined the Soviet Fleet in 1990 and is active with the Russian Black Sea Fleet. In June 2011 she took part in a NATO Submarine rescue exercise,Bold Monarch 2011,' the first Russian Submarine to do so.Instead of a conventional propeller Alrosa uses a pump jet propulsion system.

Interesting shots Dennis , and the Propulsar system looks strange but must work or they wouldn't deploy it , but would love to see the pointy end bit to see how it works eh

I'm not sure if ALROSA still has that "system" for propulsion....? I have a vague memory (?) of reading that it wasn't all that successful and had been replaced with conventional propeller. Or perhaps I'm remembering something else, and confusing that with this sub????

Perhaps someone else can confirm that??? :?: DFO
