Even after modernisation a while back the 'Capt's cabin' is still there:
By the 1930s Burgh Island had become one of the most popular hotels of it’s time. Improvements and additions to the hotel were made during the 1930s, including the addition of The Captain’s Cabin, literally the captain’s cabin of HMS Ganges, a warship built in 1821. The Captain’s Cabin forms part of the Nettlefold seafood restaurant. This area can also be used as a lovely private dining space for small parties.

HI ALL, update on the GANGES reunion Rum raffle. As you are all aware 'Florrie' Ford has raffled a bottle of Pusser's rum on a beautifully hand made wooden stand for many years now. (Rum Maiden) As a 'one off' To compliment this years raffle, in this 50th Anniversary year of 'black tot day' a unique HMS GANGES 1L Pusser's Rum ceramic decanter will be included in a 'winners choice' so the the 1st and 2nd prizes are equally desirable prizes to take home. "Here is a list of all the boys and ships company buried at Mylor according to Bob Harman who wrote a booklet based on items taken from local newspapers including The Falmouth Packet. A copy of the booklet is now in the Museum."
