the two of Tartar are from early summer 1944 when they were in the 10th DF, Tartar was hit by a shell one night which broke her mast and set fire to the paint store at the base of the funnel, quickly extinguished but dramatic for a short time. They won the battle.

written at the time reflecting the work of the 10th DF about their nightly forays across the channel..you need to read the right side page first, I never get these in the right order.

Excellent Tim , can't thank you enough for your precious time spent on these , I know how busy you get ......so again our thanks ..... :)

The Canadian [214] shown , is that squid ....as detailed ....or hedgehog in front of "A" turret please .

I'm far from being an expert Tim but the Squid I fitted on HMS Troubridge was three cylindrical tubes on each flank and the ones shown look more like the 30 cluster of mini mortars usually found on the convoy escort Flower class ......but as I say you know better than I do ........or ......was their more than one type of Squid fitted

We seemed to have passed athwart in posts , the ones of Tarter are the type that us model makers would KILL for as this type of detail is so rare and hard to get hold of , Bridge , funnel , AA fittings , and its THIS type of detail that turns a mediocre model worthy of comment , so if you have any of these on any type there always desperately in need by the like of me and other modellers .....huge thank you
