P-15B Destroyer Visakhapatnam : November2020
June 29, 2018
The Visakhapatnam class (P-15B) guided-missile destroyers are an improved variant of Kolkata class destroyers. P15B ships retain the basic design of Kolkata-class destroyers but incorporate enhanced stealth characteristics and a greater degree of automation.
Like its predecessor, P-15B destroyers are designed to be future-proof i.e. new weapons and sensors can be added easily if need be. The existing configuration features only 48 VL cells (16 UVLS and 32 Barak-8 cells), but, there is enough space to add additional 8 UVLS and 32 Barak-1/QRSAM cells.

The Vagir and The Visakha: November 2020
Visakha has been fitted with a 76mm SRGM instead of a 127mm main gun. Apparently, its order was delayed, just like sensors and other weapons.

Indian Navy gets first P15B guided-missile destroyer 'Visakhapatnam'

The construction and delivery of this ship -- named "Visakhapatnam" -- is another testament of impetus given by the government and the Navy to the indigenous warship construction programmes, the statement said.
