During our visit to Norfolk, Virginia, on the Victorious 1959, I went on a canoeing exped up the James River to Chuckatuck, we camped on the property of a gentleman, Frank Wood, in 1995 Sharon and I visited the family, sadly Frank had crossed the bar, but his son, Frank Wood Junior, remembered me, astonishingly, he said " you're the British sailor who has never had water melon". We visited the Naval Base and the USS North Carolina. Too many photographs to post here.
