The directors of Boathouse #4, where they specialise in the highly skilled restoration of the Navy's smaller craft, have agreed to present to the Naval Museum in Halifax, NS, the , far as we know, last surviving skiff, trawler boat, which was issued to all corvettes where it will be restored and join HMCS Halifax, the last surviving Flower Class Corvette. The skiff will be hoisted aboard HMCS Summerside who is now alongside with her sister ship HMCS Kingston, and stowed on the sweep deck ready for the symbolic journey home. We had hoped for a full blown ceremony but best laid plans and all that. Or, as TTL used to tell me, "whatever you plan, always allow for the bugger-it factor". we did allow, and it was.....nevertheless, we think those sterling people from BFBS will be there so in hope by Monday i can share with you all the photos, at least here are a few to get things going.

the skiff is 16 feet in length, approx 7 feet wide and weighs around 500 kilos.
