Here is the HAGURO being attacked by USN aircraft in the Sibuyen Sea, 1944. Also, a earlier photo before her modernization, that better shows this Treaty cheating CA............. ;) DFO

IIRC the HAGURO got "primary credit" for sinking the Dutch CL JAVA in 1942, too....... :(

Here she is off Rabaul in 1943. DFO

Myōkō Class Heavy Cruiser Ashigara pictured post her second reconstruction refit at Yokosuka Naval Arsenal, on sea trials in Tokyo Bay on June 14th 1940...She was sunk by T Class Submarine HMS Trenchant in Bangka Strait, June 8th 1945.
