EXERCISE STEADFAST DEFENDER

RN personnel at NATO's new Atlantic command headquarters, JFC Norfolk, were visited by Britain's most senior sailor ahead of their sternest test.
First Sea Lord Admiral Tony Radakin called in on the HQ - responsible for the security of the North Atlantic and High North - ahead of Exercise Steadfast Defender.
The huge exercise spans the Atlantic and Europe and will involve upwards of 10,000 personnel, with 18 ships forming the naval element, including HMS Queen Elizabeth's carrier strike group.
