Yup, coaling must have been such...uhh...fun, particularly in HOT, HUMID climes.... ;)

Here is a old Russian pre-dreadnought from the BSF that took on the GOEBEN/YAVUZ with several other oldies. IIRC she scored a hit!! :o Four 12" were her main weapons. DFO

In JFS scale she looks like the third pic, with her 3 funnels... :)

Lead Ship,Pre-Dreadnought Battleship IRN Borodino pictured at Kronstadt in August 1904.
Built at New Admiralty Shipyard, Saint Petersburg in 1901 and commissioned in August 1904.She was completed after the beginning of the Russo-Japanese War in 1904. Borodino was assigned to the Second Pacific Squadron sent to the Far East a few months after her completion to break the Japanese blockade of Port Arthur. The Japanese captured the port while the squadron was in transit and their destination was changed to Vladivostok. She was sunk during the Battle of Tsushima on May 27th 1905, due to devastating explosions, set off by a Japanese shell hitting a 6-inch magazine. There was only one survivor from her crew of 855 officers and enlisted men.
