TRIUMPH visited Leningrad in October 1955 - possibly that was when these photos were taken?

I would agree with tjs - In October 1955 Russia and the UK navies, made 'exchange' visits - two Russian cruisers, the Sverdlov and Aleksander Suvorov, accompanied by 4 Skory class destroyers visited Portsmouth, whilst at the same time, the Triumph, accompanied by the Apollo, Decoy, Diana, Chevron and Chieftan went to Leningrad.

Launching of Colossus Class Carrier HMS Venerable at Cammell Laird Shipyards, Birkenhead,Merseyside on December 30th 1943.She was laid down at Cammell Laird in Birkenhead on December 3rd 1942 and launched just over a year later. She was commissioned on January 17th 1945. As with others of the Class completed just before the ending of hostilities, she immediately headed to the Far East to join the 11th Aircraft Carrier Squadron (Colossus, Glory and Vengeance) of the British Pacific Fleet. Each carrier had around 40 Vought F4U Corsair fighters and Fairey Barracuda Torpedo Bombers on board.
After the end of hostilities, she repatriated prisoners of war to Canada and Australia, before returning to the UK. She only served three years in the Royal Navy before being sold to the Dutch as HNLMS Karel Doorman. In 1968, after a boiler-room fire, she was sold to the Argentine Navy and renamed ARA Veinticinco de Mayo.
By 1990, she was inoperable, and she subsequently provided spare parts for her sister ship, Minas Gerais, which had been sold to the Brazilian Navy.,she was scrapped in Alang, India in 1999.
