Re: RN Aircraft Carriers: Centaur Class 1953
Can anyone help me with identities of the people in the attached shots please? Both were taken on Hermes in the 1966-67 time frame.
Thanks!

Many thanks Dave! Strange winter here in Ontario, ranging from -22C to +8 with periodic extensive snow, then nothing. How's by you?

In 'sunny' Worthing we have adequate water supplies replenished on a regular basis and are awaiting a visit from Dennis.Gannet Driver wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2020 11:09 pm Many thanks Dave! Strange winter here in Ontario, ranging from -22C to +8 with periodic extensive snow, then nothing. How's by you?

Hi Mike . Hermite Dave replying .
All well here in Windswept Plymouth , battened down for "Storm Dennis" this weekend that is hitting us from across the pond .
Steve .... both taken , I think when we had a visit from the RAF either Cyprus or Aden . The pilot of the Sea Vixen don't know. The second is a goofing session and the only one I recognise is the Skipper TT Lewin facin toward , overlooking Gannet 331 that Mike can probably identify. Not much help I know but it might jog someone's memory

Iconic INS Viraat to be dismantled at Alang
Savetheroyalnavy.org:
Work will begin to scrap Indian aircraft carrier INS Viraat (Ex-HMS Hermes) in September.
Laid down during WWII, she was longest serving active warship in the World when decommissioned in 2017
Preserving her as a museum ship was never a viable option.
