A quick response Jim:
Thanks David... Trouble is Dragon also had two guns as we can see in this photo below of her in the 1920's... 'B' turret under the awning....but curiously not at the time the 'mystery' photo was taken... I'm guessing in 1924 during the Empire cruise.

Dragon also had two scuttles on each side of the hangar/bridge structure, which are not evident in the first photo.

Looks as tho we have reached a conclusion Jim:

"Ernest Falquero to David and Garry I have just heard back from Graham Duff who posed the original question about the mystery cruiser his great uncle served on; "Ernest Falquero thank you for you assistance, I have managed to obtain his service record and one of the many vessels he served on in his 12 years of service was ... HMS Dragon 🤠 well done guys" ~ Thought you might like to hear that... so mystery solved... an many thanks for your help!" :) ⚓️ (Y)

This one could take some sorting out David . She looks too long for a "Bangor" Class . Her funnel is not raked and resembles that of an Algerine , but she's not . She is carrying an awful lot of hardware aft of the break . Methinks she could be an artist's impression .

But what does "Jim the Brush" think . ?

Thank you all, most elsewhere thought it was an Algerine but:

CAN YOU ASSIST PLEASE?

A friend has found these pictures of his father. He knows nothing about them only that his dad, Sandy, served in the First World War and despite being too old lied about his age to serve in the Second World War too.

if anyone can provide info he, and I, would be grateful.
