The only Aircraft to leave an oil slick as they flew as I recall , but a scrapper

Great bird Barry .... we lost two on Hermes 66/67 ... One to maintenance error , the other Pilot error . Sadly we lost the One Pilot and two Observers . They were a deathtrap for the Obby's.

Supermarine Walrus,pictured on Lead Ship,Heavy Cruiser HMS York in August 1938....*Note the top port wing bashed in by hitting the side of the ship while swinging back and forth on the crane. Apparently this was common on the pre-war catapult aircraft from retrieval at sea when the ship was rolling back and forth.
