Torpedo Boats seen in Halifax Harbour c1901.

Interesting picture. If the date is correct, it predates the birth of the RCN. Are they RN boats or American vessels?

It looks like several of those aboard/next to these boats are in civilian clothes - so perhaps they are still owned by their builder(s), and are on a "sales visit'.
