HMS Matapan wide aperture flank array & Astute Class large-aperture flank array

HMS Matapan wide aperture flank array & Astute Class large/wide aperture flank array(s)
The following two images got me to thinking what (if any) relationship the Matapan's trial array(s) had/has to/with the array(s) on the Astute Class.
a) Matapan (D43) trials ship
b) Astute Class SSN
Having done some reading and am still not certain if the installation on Astute Class is:-
- a direct relative of the trials array on Matapan
- a close cousin
- or a distant cousin (perhaps various times removed).
