HMCS Qu'Appelle was the oddball of the class in that she had a twin 3 inch 50 calibre mounting forward, whereas her sisters had a twin 3 inch 70 calibre mounting. None of the four ship Mackenzie Class had significant modernizations during their service life.

The WNSF had a 'substantial' Canadian Navy forum within which there were a considerable number of threads.

For those wishing to browse and/or reminisce - here is a link to the archived Canadian Ships and Crews forum. Not a particularily easy read, but the images are intact.
