Leander Class Frigate HMS Charybdis pictured post her 1979/82 major refit that included the fitting of Exocet and Sea Wolf missile systems, and the removal of her twin 4.5 in guns.

Batch 3B Broadbeam Leander Class Frigate HMS Apollo pictured c1985...In 1988 her RN career came to an end when she was decommissioned on July 7th and sold to Pakistan on July 15th. The ship was renamed PNS Zulfiqar, and commissioning in the Pakistani Navy on October 14th 1988. From 1991 to 1993 she underwent a major refit and her 20 mm guns and Seacat system were replaced by twin 25 mm mounts, and her Westland Wasp was replaced by an SA 319B Alouette III helicopter. Zulfiqar continued in service for 18 years with until October 29th 2006 when she was decommissioned.

Leander Class ASW Frigate HMS Galatea pictured in Weymouth Bay in 1975, post her 1971/74 major refit, she was decommissioned in January 1987 and was sunk as a target in July 1988, as part of naval exercises in the North Atlantic.

Leander Class Frigate HMS Juno pictured in her role as a Navigational Training Ship c1987.....In 1985, Juno completed a four-year refit, which removed all her weapons and converted her into a Navigational Training Ship, she decommissioned in November 1992 and was sold for scrap in 1994.
