RNAS Stretton - HMS Blackcap

Was an airfield in the close to the village of Stretton, south of Warrington, in Cheshire Englalnd.

Many thanks for starting this section Harry. I was aware that there was a great abundance of Naval Air Stations over the years, but I was surprised at the actual number when I did a search and saw the results.

Then 28 years in the Fire Brigade
Retired since 2002

Yep, that's true Jim ..... and some with very curious names eg HMS Tern in the Orkney Islands, has a very interesting/unusual RNAS name (actually the name of a nearby village) !!!! ;)
