Envoy Class Tugs

Unread post by Pelican »

HMS ENIGMA W175

I have an oppo who is terminal due cancer. He is ex. F.A.A. and served in HM Tug Enigma W175 and H.M.S. Belfast out in Singapore from 1960 to 1961 assisting in flying PTAs [Pilotless Target Aircraft]. He would dearly love to obtain a photo of the tug.

Enigma was one of the Envoy class - http://www.rfanostalgia.org/gallery3/in ... iGyZ3NbK8I

She is mentioned in this book - https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=QEi ... 75&f=false

We believe the painting may have been based on the image which is attached.
Apart from that, inspite of both myself and others searching, we cannot come up with any other photos.
If anyone can assist I would be most grateful.
