Don't think it's an official Royal Navy badge. Could have been designed by an engine room petty officer (crossed anchors and ER). You can get anything made these days.

Jim
HMS Raleigh 1963 , HMS Collingwood 1963 & 67 , HMS Ark Royal 1964-7, HMS Undaunted 1968-71, HMS Victory (Fleet Maintenance Group) 1971-72, HMS Exmouth 1972-74
JEM, EM, OEM, LOEM, POOEL
Then 28 years in the Fire Brigade
Retired since 2002

Jim, I thought it looked like crossed anchors and EIIR - just my tuppence worth, as you say anything can be made these days.

You are right H. It is most likely a custom made blazer badge for a former Petty Officer.

Hi David
I have had a request via the website from a daughter of an Instructor at Ganges in 1950, his name was:
Charles Harry Swann Price
Sadly he passed away last year but going through his odds & ends they found a cap with this badge on, any idea what it is please?
Phil [The Webmster of HMS Ganges Association]

Any info, suggestions, thoughts welcome.
