Here is a pic of the latest 130 mm (from a friend) being installed on new FFGs; but not to fear the USN will eventually have new FFGs, too. RFQ specs a 57 mm popgun for main weapon........uh-huh. DFO
Here are a few available specs on the weapon:
Mast lightweight 130-mm A-AU 192m "Armat" (developer — FSUE KB "Arsenal", the producer — the Ministry of Health of the "Arsenal") not currently at the stage of working out an experienced reference. All of the testing and fine-tuning the design go to the schedule agreed earlier with the Russian Navy, and should end in 2012. On all the main tactical and technical features installation is at the level of global peers and does not yield to them.

Seems to be a major improvement compared to the twin mount 130s on the SLAVAs and others....?? Apparently the heavy twin was used as a single could not then reach the required volume of fire......reliably. DFO
