all three of Canada's aircraft carriers were built at Harland & Wolff and commissioned there with their respective complements being shipped over to man their new ships; H & W also built other RCN Ships including HMCS Ontario, anyone got a decent set of photos of this ship?
There was, remains, a close relationship between the RCN and Northern Ireland, especially Londonderry and Belfast, during the Atlantic convoy era, the entire war, when the RCN did so much to shoulder the burden of escort work Londonderry was their home from home, the British escorts using Liverpool. If the virus permits I will help arrange a 75th. +1 anniversary of victory for the RCN in the North Atlantic in 2021 centred on Londonderry.
