Re: FinbarM
Sorry to be slow to introduce myself to everyone. I am a mostly retired guy of 67 years who has a passionate interest in the Royal and Australian navies. My father was an AB on the corvette Bundaberg in the war so I grew up hearing lots of “war stories” and developed my super interest in matters of the waves from that. I also am a very keen model ship builder of (you guessed) Royal Navy vessels. I have a particular interest in cruisers and that magic Belfast is one of my favorites. Some time agp on the old site we were focused on her as the kit had quite a few accuracy issues with the size of the fore funnel being a point of discussion and I was very grateful for the feedback at the time. These days modeling is great as we have new kits of the Exeter, York, Cornwall and a forthcoming Kent. I just love reading all the various posts that such a knowledgeable and enthusiastic bunch make on the site and I will get more involved from now on. Lastly the photos posted have been great so keep them coming! Thank you and great to join you all.

Re: FinbarM
Hello FinbarM and great to have you here. You interest in model making is shared with several members here and, I agree, the photographs posted are a boon to any modeller looking for accuracy in detail. Don't be shy to post photos of any of the models that you have made in the relevant section. I am sure that they will be well received.
